Ford econoline factory converted camper van
Built on a 1990 e250 chassis with 5.8l engine and newly rebuilt (<25,000km) e40d transmission (with manually selected overdrive)! New exhaust manifolds, new front brake callipers, rotors and pads, tune up completed recently (plugs, wires, distributor rotor and cap etc), transmission and differential fluids changed, newly replaced thermostat, and engine temperature sensor, new transmission speed sensor, new throttle position sensor, and new idle air control valve.
Affectionately known as ‘gitty up, the sunshine kid’, she drives amazingly smooth, and has taken us from toronto through the us, and up the pacific coast from california to bc without issue. Owned by an industrial mechanic by trade, scheduled maintenance was always completed, and she is in great working order!
Comes equipped with 3-way fridge, 2-burner stove, functioning sink (with running water), functional toilet (with running water), 175 watt solar system feeding a 3-battery bank (also charged by alternator with battery isolator, you will always have more than enough power to be completely off the grid!), all lights converted to led, newly replaced shur-flo water pump, newly replaced black/grey water tank, easy to use propane system, clean water tank (cleaned and all piping changed), bi-directional roof vent, propane heater, kitchen exhaust fan, structurally sound roof (see photo), all roof vents etc recently resealed, and great outdoor shower! No leaks!! 94,000 miles, exterior and interior in great shape.
The living quarters have been completely updated and we’ve spent the time to ensure everything works well. The bench seat in the back (which features 3 seat belts!) unfolds to reveal a full length bed. Below the bench you’ll find the battery bank, fresh water tank, space heater and ample storage. The front captains chairs swivel 180 degrees to allow for a more ‘loungy’ feel.
We are so sad to let this great gal go, but after many months on the road, and even more great adventures, we are heading back to ontario and back to reality (sigh).
Must go to owners who will enjoy her as much as we have!
With everything in great working order, and recent maintenance and upgrades, this van is ready for your next adventure!
